The Cultural Structures in the Poetry of Ibn Shuhayd al-Andalusī

This study aims to shed light on the cultural patterns reflected in the poetry of Ibn Shuhayd al-Andalusī. Cultural patterns are among the modern critical concepts that seek to elicit meanings from poetic texts in order to uncover broader cultural contents within the poetic context. This theory assumes that the creative text encompasses a number of patterns, both explicit and implicit, which arise from a general cultural reservoir deeply rooted in collective consciousness and shaped by the accumulated cultures of previous generations up to the generation that produced the text.
