Abstract

This research aimed to analyze the relationship between artificial intelligence (AI) and the humanities, focusing on the ethical and social dimensions of the impact of smart technologies on shaping societal behavior. The research sought to achieve several objectives, most notably: clarifying the concept of AI and its relationship to human values; identifying the ethical challenges arising from its use in education and media; analyzing its implications for collective awareness and behavior; and proposing mechanisms to ensure the responsible use of these technologies. The researcher relied on a descriptive-analytical approach by reviewing theoretical and applied studies and comparing different intellectual positions on the phenomenon. The results concluded that AI contributes to the development of education and media, but at the same time, it leads to changes in human behavior and raises concerns related to bias, loss of privacy, and weak ethical awareness. The study also demonstrated that the gap between technological progress and adherence to human values represents one of the most prominent contemporary challenges. The study recommended the development of an Arab ethical charter regulating the use of AI, integrating courses on technology ethics into academic curricula, promoting a culture of accountability and transparency in the design of smart systems, and encouraging field research that tracks the impact of AI on societal behavior and values.
