A succession of grants in the names of palm fruits and the rank of dates

Abstract

Praise be to God, Lord of the Worlds, and prayers and peace be upon our Prophet Muhammad and his family and companions

This message talks about the stages through which the fruit of palm trees goes through, by Badr al-Din al-Qarafi, who lived in an era that witnessed scientific stagnation, in which small treatises, footnotes, and explanations of existing texts abounded, due to the lack of a suitable atmosphere for creativity and innovation. He was a judge and jurist, in addition to being a literary linguist, so this message came in a specific and precise manner. The exact stages that the fruit of the palm tree goes through and its exudation due to the linguistic nature of that and the author that defines important jurisprudential issues related to buying and selling in a way that serves people in their transactions.

In this research, I investigated this thesis. I talked about the author’s life, which included his lineage, birth, elders, students, status, and the sayings of scholars about him and his poetry.

Then I talked about the attribution of the manuscript to the author and a brief description of the manuscript. As for the edited text, my work in it was to extract the sayings from their sources and translate the signs mentioned in the text of the manuscript. I explained in the footnotes their meanings.
